LinkedIn Tip: Listing Your Websites
LinkedIn allows you to list three websites of your choice. The websites you list need to be directly related to your professional career—no linking to your MySpace page or a family website.
Acceptable website listings include: your company website, an online portfolio of the work you have done, your business profile page for organizations that you belong to, or your company blog. If it does not relate to your professional life do NOT list it on LinkedIn.
When you list a website, you have five options to choose from: Personal Website, Company Website, Blog, RSS Feed, Portfolio, and Other. Always choose Other! Remember, every aspect of your profile is searchable, by choosing Other, you can type in the name of your company or the website you are directing them to, making it easy for the viewer to see which is the appropriate site to look at for more information.
